River and Root Farm is a regenerative blueberry farm located along the Upper Santa Fe River in Alachua County, just outside Gainesville. Formerly Santa Fe River Farms, the farm is entering a new chapter focused on land stewardship, community, and seasonal agritourism. We grow our blueberries without synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides and are working toward organic certification. Our goal is to care for the soil, water, and surrounding ecosystem while producing delicious, nutrient-dense fruit for our local community. During blueberry season we offer both U-pick and pre-picked berries from the farm, and we’re excited to make our berries available through the Working Food online market as another way for Gainesville neighbors to access fresh, locally grown fruit.
